Deckard Is Back!

It has been a tug-of-war with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard in the planned sequel of one of the best SF movies of all times, Blade Runner and the latest news is that Ford is on! Harrison Ford is officially confirmed to get back in that trademark trench coat and do his thing.

Ridley Scott will only be producing the sequel and the latest news is that Denis Villeneuve is currently in negotiations to direct the sequel to the cult 1982 sci-fi pic. Villeneuve is perhaps most famous for his 2013 crime drama Prisoners with Jake Gyllenhall and Hugh Jackman.

The sequel is to start filming in 2016 and the script is being penned by co-writer of the original, Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. The sequel is going to be a “true sequel” that takes place a couple of decades after the first movie and it will once again follow Rick Deckard.

We are just hoping that the next big piece of news will be that they got Vangelis to once again write the perfect score for the movie.
