Guy Ritchie Resurrects King Arthur And Knights Of The Round Table

The Times has confirmed that Charlie Hunnam will play King Arthur in a new Guy Ritchie’s medieval epic that he is directing for Warner Bros.

Penned by Joby Harold, Ritchie’s film will resurrect the tale of Arthur and his storied Knights of the Round table. It could also reunite Hunnam with his ‘Pacific Rim’ co-star Idris Elba, who is reportedly in talks to portray King’s mentor.

Hunnam is maybe best known for his role on the series ‘Sons of Anarchy’, which begins its seventh and final season in September. He was previously in talks to play the S&M-loving billionaire Christian Grey in the big-screen adaptation of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, but he dropped out.
