Jason Momoa Is The New Aquaman

Adored by many women, Game of Thrones star Jason Mamoa is set to portray comic-book superhero Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Its release is expected in May 2016.

Warner Bros. has not yet made the official comments of Aquaman’s appearance, but HitFix state that director Zack Snyder is planning to start filming soon.

When asked whether he would play the part of Aquaman during several interviews, including one by MTV News, he swore that he would not be taking the part. He even invited Joshua Horowitz to “punch me in the face [if I’m lying].”

HitFix has confirmed that Momoa will portray Aquaman in the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel, “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Drew McWeeny of HitFix reported that director Zack Snyder has already finalized his design plans for the character.

Momoa’s representatives did not immediately return request for comment. Ben Affleck is Batman and Israeli actress Gal Gadot has been set for Wonder Woman in the film.

Though not expected to be a major part in “Dawn of Justice,” the character, who was created in 1941 by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris, is long overdue for his big screen debut.

His absence from this movie genre was a punch line on the series “Entourage,” on which Adrian Grenier’s Vincent Chase was attached to a James Cameron movie about the waterlogged protagonist.

Aquaman is also rumored to be a central star in Snyder’s sequel, “Justice League,” which is being developed for a 2017 release.
