Name Of New Star Wars Movie Announced, Fans Disappointed

There’s no doubt that the seventh Star Wars movie is one of the most anticipated films in recent memory. And that’s why fans were utterly disappointed when the franchise announced that the new movie would be called Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Fans and movie critics from all over the world weighed in on the name, and most said that it was very boring and uninteresting, especially since so much hype is being made about the return of the original cast and the continuation of the original three movies.

It is also interesting to note that they are not calling it “Episode VII.” Industry insiders believe that studios would rather have subtitles than numbers. However, the episode number is a trademark of the Star Wars franchise that many believe should have been kept and respected.

The film is slated to be released in December 2015 and will feature the first comeback of original stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who were the lead actors in the original trilogy.
