Natalie Portman Will Be The Latest Actress To Bring Jackie Kennedy To Life On The Silver Screen

Natalie Portman has signed on to play America’s most famous and stylish First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in an upcoming biopic titled Jackie, according to Variety.

An insider told the publication that the movie will be about Jackie Kennedy’s first four days after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, or as an insider describes it, “the days when Jackie Kennedy becomes an icon but has lost everything.”

The film will be directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larrain and produced by no other than Darren Aronofsky, who directed Portman in her Oscar-winning role in Black Swan.

Natalie’s casting news comes just days after it was announced that the 33-year-old actress will play another influential woman in American history, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

For someone who doesn’t know where her Oscar is and calls the statue a ‘false idol’, Portman is sure going hard for those potential Best Actress-worthy roles.

Jackie Kennedy was previously portrayed by a number of famous actresses, including Katie Holmes, Minka Kelly, Jill Hennessy and Jaclyn Smith.
