Police Union Calls For Tarantino Boycott

The New York Police Department union is calling on people to boycott Quentin Tarantino and his movies, after he took part in an anti-police protest last weekend. Asked why he was part of the protest, Tarantino said that he is a “human being with a conscience” and that he wanted to stand up against murder, referring to the many high profile deaths of allegedly innocent people at the hands of police officers that have torn the country apart this year.

President of the Patrolman’s Benevolent Association Patrick Lynch said that he wasn’t surprised by Tarantino’s stance as a “cop-hater,” since he makes a living out of glorifying crime and violence.

New York police were further angered by the fact that the Saturday protest that the director attended coincided with a rally in New York related to the death of an NYPD officer who was shot and killed while chasing a robber.

Tarantino did say that the timing was unfortunate, but said that the rally could not be canceled because many people had flown out to attend it.
